DAY ONE:

0815

All ATOP students will meet in the LOBBY of the COMFORT SUITES at 0815 on the first day of class. Trainees should have taken and completed breakfast by this time. Bring citizenship documents for review! If you opt to stay at a different hotel, be certain to arrive at the COMFORT SUITES at 0815 for the trip to the training center.

All pilots board the hotel shuttle together for the ten minute trip to the CONTINENTAL AIRLINES PILOT TRAINING CENTER. We MUST travel together to the training center complex to clear security!

Orientation to the CONTINENTAL AIRLINES PILOT TRAINING CENTER and tour; introduction to the Computer Lab and CBT equipment.

Systems Orientation Part 1 (Classroom)

  • Introduction to the Boeing 737/800
  • Fire Protection: Trim Systems; Flaps and LED's; Avionics
  • Electrical & Caution Systems; Lighting; Fuel System

DAY TWO:* (Schedule May Vary Depending On Simulator Availability)

Boeing 737/800 Full Flight Simulator
  • Two hour simulator session for each crew during this period. Each pilot serves as crew for one hour: ½ hour as "PF" and ½ hour as "PNF." One hour of Boeing 737 simulator time may be recorded in the pilot's logbook. One additional hour of observation time is included.

Optional Flight Training Device (FTD) Training****

  • For pilots enrolling in the optional HIGH ALTITUDE ENDORSEMENT program, an additional 20-25 minutes is scheduled in the FTD for performance of rapid depressurization and emergency descent procedures as required by FAR 61.31(g).

Debrief and logbook signing

**** THE 737 FLIGHT TRAINING DEVICE (FTD) SESSION WILL TAKE PLACE SOMETIME ON SUNDAY MORNING IN EITHER A 737/800 OR 737/500 FTD DEPENDING ON SCHEDULE AVAILABILITY.

CLASS WILL **GENERALLY** CONCLUDE BY NOON ON SUNDAY.

Cost
$475.00. Excludes lodging, transportation, and incidentals. $450.00 per person when two or more pilots register together for the same class.
Registration
Full advance payment is required to confirm a position for a class.
Payment
Mastercard and VISA are accepted. Make money orders payable to "ATOP."
Refund & Cancellation Policy

If, for any reason, an ATOP registrant is compelled to cancel participation in a specific ATOP class, the following policies will apply:

  • WHEN CANCELLATION NOTICE IS RECEIVED MORE THAN NINETY DAYS PRIOR TO CLASS DATE, the enrollee will receive a full refund of the course fee.
  • WHEN CANCELLATION NOTICE IS RECEIVED BETWEEN NINETY AND THIRTY DAYS PRIOR TO CLASS DATE, the student will receive a refund of 50% of the course fee.
  • WHEN CANCELLATION NOTICE IS RECEIVED LESS THAN THIRTY DAYS PRIOR TO CLASS DATE, the student will forfeit the entire course fee.

EXCEPTION: IN THE EVENT A PARTICIPANT MUST CANCEL FOR ANY REASON, IF THAT PARTICIPANT CAN PROVIDE US WITH A QUALIFIED U.S. PILOT AS A REPLACEMENT AT THE TIME OF CANCELLATION, ONCE THE REPLACEMENT HAS PAID THE COURSE FEE AND COMPLETED THE ATOP, THE CANCELING ATTENDEE WILL RECEIVE A FULL REFUND. THE BURDEN OF RECRUITING A REPLACEMENT IS ENTIRELY WITH THE CANCELING PILOT.

NOTE: A POSTPONEMENT of a class date is considered a CANCELLATION!

Contingencies

Continental Airlines, under certain rare circumstances, may compel cancellation or the postponement of the ATOP due to facility demands by the carrier. In such cases, all fees will be refunded. Options will then be provided to the student. Although highly unlikely, CAL reserves the right to substitute simulators (i.e. a 737/300 or 737/500 in lieu of a 737/800) and/or reschedule simulator time on DAY TWO pending simulator availability.

ATOP, Inc., and Continental Airlines assume no responsibility or liability for costs or inconvenience due to cancellation or rescheduling, including travel change fees.

Acceptance
Participant's paid registration confirms acceptance of the above-referenced terms, conditions, and refund policies which were explained at the time of registration.
